Skills Assure Supplier (SAS)
Star College Australia is an approved Skills Assure Supplier (SAS) through Queensland Department of Trade, Employment and Training (DTET). Offering a number of courses that attract Government funding to Queenslanders. For participants not eligible for Government funding, we offer upfront payment and flexible payment plan options to support managing your training fees with day to day life.
About the Program
The Skills Assure program is the Queensland Government's quality assurance framework for subsidised vocational education and training. Only providers that meet strict quality and compliance standards are approved as Skills Assure Suppliers.
This ensures that participants receive high-quality training from reputable providers while accessing fee subsidised funding by the Queensland Government.
The Career Boost (General & Traineeship) program helps Queenslanders level-up at work, developing higher level skills needed to advance their careers of progress to further studies.
Under Career Boost (General & Traineeship), you may access:

One Certificate IV, Diploma or Advanced Diploma qualification
-
A higher-level apprenticeship or traineeship (Certificate IV +) or
-
Up to 2 funded Skill Sets in priority industries
Note: Participants cannot access Career Boost if you've already completed 2 apprenticeships/ traineeships in the last 10 years.

Eligibility Requirements
General Training
To be eligible, you must:
-
Be aged 15 years or older
-
No longer enrolled as a school student
-
Permanently reside in Queensland
-
Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident, or an eligible visa holder
-
Not already have completed a Certificate IV or higher qualification within the last 10 years (qualifications completed as a school student and foundation skills qualifications do not count)
-
Not be enrolled in another qualification, even if it's on hold or deferred, whether funded by Department of Trade, Employment and Training or not (excluding foundation skills qualifications)
Note: This eligibility does not apply to individuals seeking to enrol in a skill set
Traineeship
To be eligible, you must:

Not be a school student
-
Be currently employed in Queensland under a registered training contract, in an approved traineeship qualification funded through this program

If you're from overseas, have a visa allowing you to work in Australia
-
Not be enrolled in another qualification, whether funded or unfunded (foundation skills qualifications do not count)

Not have completed a Certificate IV or high qualification, including university studies, in the past 10 years (qualifications completed in school & foundation skills qualifications do not impact eligibility)

Not have completed more than 2 government-funded apprenticeships or traineeships within the last 10 years (including a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship)
Concession Eligiblity
You may qualify for lower fees if you are a:

Health Care Card holder

Pensioner Concession card holder

Veteran Concession Card holder

Partner or dependent of above card holders

Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander

Person with a disaiblity

Under 17 years and not enrolled in school
